My name is Tina Espinoza, and I am running to be your next Alamosa County Clerk and Recorder.

For the last ten years, I have dedicated myself to serving this community from inside the Clerk’s office. When you elect a Clerk, you aren’t just choosing an administrator; you are choosing a custodian of your records and a guardian of your rights.  I know what it takes to keep this office running for you.  I am not just asking for this job; I have spent a decade preparing for it.  As your current Deputy County Clerk, I have seen firsthand where our systems work and where they need to be better. I have processed your titles, recorded your deeds, and managed the complexities of our vital records.
Because I’ve been doing this work for ten years, there is no "learning curve."  On Day One, I will be ready to lead because I already know the heart and soul of this office.

I also want to be very direct with you, I am not "swapping" positions with anyone. There are no backroom deals here. If I am elected, my current seat will become vacant, and we will follow the proper, transparent channels to hire the best person for that role.

My priority is a "Service First" mentality. Whether you come in for plates or apply for a marriage license, you deserve an office that is efficient and respectful of your time. In a community as diverse as ours, "Service First" must also include robust bilingual services. No resident should feel hesitant to access their government because of a language barrier. I am committed to providing clear resources so that every member of our community can navigate our services with confidence and dignity.

As you know, trust is hard-earned but easily lost. As your Deputy Clerk, I see the weight of this responsibility every day. If a vehicle registration is delayed, it’s a frustration. But if an election loses the public’s trust, it’s a crisis. That is why Election Integrity is my top priority. It's how I will manage my budget and my staff. It means auditing our voter lists and testing systems before issues arise and investing in the highest level of state certification for our team. When you have questions about how ballots are handled, you’ll get a direct answer from a Clerk who has actually been in the room and knows the process. If I don’t have the answer immediately, I have the professional network and the state resources to get it for you—accurately and fast.
